If I had just stayed home

Had I stayed home I would not have felt the cool evening breeze that so rarely stirs before the sun sets.

Had I stayed home I would not have seen the double rainbow that covered the mauve sky.

Had I worried about the gathering clouds I would have stayed home.

Had I not taken cover from the falling rain under the autograph tree, I would not have looked up into the branches.

Had I not looked up into the branches I would not have seen the four little birds huddled together, fluffed, and warm.

Had I stayed home I would have let inertia defeat me.

Rainbows, trade winds, and fluffy birds, I would have missed, had I stayed home.

Do you want to know about Hawaii from a locals point of view? Where do we like to go? What things do we like to see. This blog is about seeing Hawaii without being trapped. This is a journal about Good eats, Hawaiian events, and looking at the islands through the eyes of someone who has lived here for more then forty years.
